TEZZA'S RUNNING NYCM FOR HEARTS
Story
Hi...I'm Terry Burke(Tezza or Tez), and I did run in the New York City Marathon on November 6th 2011, what an absolutley magnificent event, amazing, my time was a respectable 4hrs 18 mins, 47,600 runners started and most finished, there were more than 2.5 million people on the course supporting the runners, I finished in place 22,512, not to bad.
So far I havemanaged to nearly 75% of the much needed funds for The Heart Foundation!
Heart and Cardiovascular disease has taken several of our family members over the years the latest a brother in 2010. There are many illness's that require much needed financial support these days, so that more can be found out why they happen, and solutions given on prevention and saving lives. An event like this means we can all make a small difference and save lives.
.
The marathon is some 42,200 meters and I reckon thats around 80,000 odd running strides, so, at the minimum I need $0.07 cents a stride ok..! We Can Do It ! Yes We Can..! Yes we did!!

The Heart Foundation is Australia's leading heart health charity and is the largest non-government funder of lifesaving heart research in the country. We work to improve heart disease prevention and care for all Australians. Heart disease is the single biggest killer of men, women and children and the Heart Foundation relies on the generosity of everyday Australians to be able to continue its important work. We aim to improve the heart health of all Australians and to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular disease through comprehensive research, education, awareness and support programs.
